Gordon said all the right things, and admitted he was suspended by Baylor after a failed drug test (marijuana). Gordon said he learned his lesson and vowed never to do it again.

Some thought Gordon to run in the high 4.3 or low 4.4 range, but he clocked in at 4.5 during his Tuesday workout in front of representatives from 21 NFL teams.

'(Cutler is) managing the game better,' a league evaluator said. 'He's not making as many dumb mistakes. He's not forcing the ball as much. In Denver, he was spraying the ball all over the place.

BAL - S Ed Reed sends shot at management

Baltimore Ravens FS Ed Reed sent a loud message to Ravens management on his Twitter account recently as he tweeted: 'Back home with my son, he's riding his bike (and) I'm doing yard work! Tell the bosses I'm comfortable!' Reed has skipped voluntary mini-camps and could be trying to gain leverage for a new contract. He'll make $7.2 million in the final year of his deal.

DEN - DE Robert Ayers entering crucial year

Denver Broncos DL Robert Ayers is reportedly entering a crucial year. The former first-round pick is a starter, but he hasn't been much of a factor in his three NFL seasons. Ayers has managed a total of just 39 tackles in each of the past two seasons and he has 4 1/2 career sacks. Ayers has a lot to prove in 2012.
